Adopt a Calf

Gold Creek 5adopting a cute calf

What if actually owning a cow or calf is out of the question? You adopt one of ours! If you live in a city or don't have the time or space, etc. It doesn't matter. You can share in all the fun of our cattle and learn a lot as well.

You can adopt a calf for a $75.00 adoption fee (one-off payment). All adopters get an adoption certificate, access to information on their calf online and an invitation to visit their calf at the farm. If you would like to purchase a mascot with the adoption it will be $100.00 postage included. Click here for our online banking details and ensure super fast delivery.

You are invited to visit your adopted cow or calf in their paddock as part of the adoption program.

the adoption process

halter trainingAdopting a calf is a great experience for everyone involved.

Children love to learn all the 'ins and outs' of calves as they grow up. You could even adopt a cow, or a bull if you like - they live pretty interesting lives too.

Adults find adoptions to be a very positive experience also - the money goes to a good cause and everyone gets 'warm fuzzies'. You don't get to take a calf home, but you do get to find out everything about the calf as it grows up - without getting any cow manure on your boots!

Our calves have been adopted as a gift to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and as Christmas presents. The person who has adopted the calf is formally invited to visit their calf at the farm and get their boots dirty. If the adoption was a gift then the gift giver is also welcome - the calves love visitors. Having said that, visiting adopted cattle means a stud visit, and we will need some notice.

One of the best things about adopting a cow or a calf is that you get to visit them in school holidays. We get lots of people wanting to come to the farm in the holidays, but we have put the school holidays aside especially for people who have adopted cattle. For just $75.00 it is a great holiday experience and you are supporting other farm animals that need shelter and rescue.

why do we have adoptions?

Our miniature cattle want for nothing. Not all farm animals are as lucky.  For all sorts of reasons, there are farm animals in Australia finding themselves in need of some help. Our profits from our calf adoption program, including mascot sales, now help support farm animal shelters, sanctuaries and farm animal rescue organisations in Australia.

Plus, we love meeting the wonderful people who adopt our calves and the people who give these adoptions as gifts. It provides us with an opportunity to meet great people. It enables us to share the joy of these docile animals and to educate people about cattle, in general. It also to supports the not so fortunate farm animals that end up in shelters and sanctuaries throughout Australia. The only thing better than a win, win situation is a win, win, win situation, and that is what these calf adoptions are for us. Read more
